Personal Board of Directors

MSC 492: Understanding and Leveraging Networks

Spring 2020

The Personal Board of Directors project is the final project for this course. The purpose of this assignment is to develop a strategic plan for the creation of my personal board of directors. In order to achieve this I would need to outline personal and professional goals, evaluate key people in my network critical to helping me achieve these goals, and set a metric to measure my progress and success in establishing this personal network and achieving stated goals.

The project is intended to demonstrate that I can effectively evaluate the members of my personal and professional networks, and determine if and how to leverage my connections to achieve personal and professional goals. In outlining my goals and timelines to achieve them I was able to put my future plans into perspective, establish that my mission and vision is reasonable, and chart a course for reaching these goals and identifying members of my network with whom I could partner to achieve goals, or introduce me to those who could contribute to my success, in exchange for similar leverage and support.
