The intended outcome of the assignment was for students to recognize and evaluate areas of difficulty for nonprofit organizations and their leaders, and to research and develop teachable strategies that organizations could apply immediately. As discussed throughout the course, nonprofit leaders are often managing volunteer workforces that cannot be incentivized through traditional monetary compensation. The available skills and talents of their membership will vary widely, but the challenges and goals of organizations is nearly universal and can stretch even the most seasoned leaders. Providing guidance to organizations, their members and their leaders requires careful consideration of the audience and their social impact goals. This project is also intended to show how my consideration for nonprofit audiences and my knowledge of their operational challenges can be translated into a top to bottom training programs that deliver innovative strategies.
